Caroline Hamner

Welcome to your journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth! I am honored to hold this space for you and to embark on this transformation with you. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio.

My approach as a therapist lies in fostering strong connections and facilitating positive change. I specialize in providing guidance to families, couples, children, teenagers, and adults, recognizing that our lives are intricately woven together by relationships. Whether it’s untangling couples’ conflicts, assisting parents in their respective journeys, or aiding young minds in finding their voices, I am dedicated to fostering growth at every phase of life.

Central to my therapeutic philosophy is the creation of a secure, nonjudgmental space—an environment where you can freely explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. It is within this sanctuary that true healing begins, allowing you to express yourself authentically and without reservation.

My therapeutic approach incorporates components of experiential therapy, attachment theory, narrative therapy, and emotional focused therapy (EFT). I understand that everyone engages with therapy uniquely, which is why I offer a range of methods, including art and play therapy techniques. These modalities tap into the power of creativity, providing you with alternative ways to process feelings and communicate your inner world. My skill set includes working with challenges such as life changes, depression, anxiety, setting healthy boundaries, navigating ADHD, relationship issues, bettering communication, issues within a family, social skill concerns, and personal growth.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at Kennesaw State University, as well as my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine — a pivotal moment that ignited my passion for helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of life. I am currently working towards my full licensure under the supervision and direction of Dr. Christi Bartolomucci, Ph.D., LPC, CPCS and Jennifer Mejias, LMFT, RPT

Whether you’re striving for personal growth, seeking to mend relationships, or simply navigating life’s challenges, I am here, ready to accompany you every step of the way. With an open heart and professional experience, I invite you to take that first courageous stride toward a brighter, healthier future — together.
