Our Mission
Our mission is to foster vibrant, supportive learning environments by delivering expert mental health consultation and guidance. We empower students, school professionals, and school leaders with personalized, solutions-oriented guidance, community education, responsive crisis intervention, and tailored organizational support. We understand the critical role that wellbeing plays in positive outcomes. In collaborating with schools, we strive to enhance individual mental health and the overall success of every school community we serve.
What is the EmpowerED! school consultation program?
Uniquely designed, EmpowerED! is an individualized school consultation program that focuses on mental health prevention, crisis intervention, and community education as well as leadership guidance and consultation. School leaders and school counselors may directly find our services beneficial in order to provide a professional, confidential sounding board to process challenging situations and determine how to best proceed in difficult interactions and/or key relationships. The EmpowerED! School Consultation Program allows for a personalized approach that is aligned with your school’s philosophy, values, and goals. While we acknowledge the global needs of students and schools, we also honor that each community has its own distinct perspective and mission.
What Services Does EmpowerEd! Offer?
We offer services to help support your school community in a preventative, growth-oriented manner. We help to continually bolster your community by integrating mental health programming, clinical support, and education. Our services can also help to mitigate risk when called to intervene in very difficult or even life-threatening situations. Often trying to find the right person to help in the midst of crisis leaves the leaders scrambling to find a professional, on short notice, without a prior established relationship that allows for increased confidence in the guidance being received. While we understand that problems and crises do occur, our hope is to help prevent them with resources and education. And, when they do occur, our aim is to address them rapidly and thoroughly in order to minimize risk and address the needs of the school community.

Leadership consultation and support
Clinical consultation on school mental health initiatives, challenges, and problematic relationship dynamics
Mental health and wellbeing programming for schools
Supervision/consultation with school counselor/counseling team
School counseling services if a team is not in place or overwhelmed
Immediate crisis assessment for a student or faculty at risk to themselves or others.
Specific, professional, confidential guidance/intervention in high-conflict situations
Community presentations to parents and/or school professionals on requested, related topics
Direct counseling interventions
Why Should Your School Choose the Empowered! School Consultation Program?
We can establish a collaborative relationship and understanding of your school’s needs to serve as the basis for our work together. We can then serve as a pre-vetted, trusted resource with immediate responsiveness in critical situations as well as in proactive wellness planning for the future. There is no need to try to identify a consultation or clinician in time of crisis. There is a referral system in place without the wait and hassle. We do the leg work! We also have the ability to provide services at your school or at our office if you prefer increased confidentiality. Our program is personalized and we work diligently to ensure that the services provided are aligned with the values and culture of your school community rather than trying to fit your school into a large, national program.
atlanta innovative counseling team: who we are
The EmpowerED! Program is developed by AICC’s Founder and Director, Dr. Christi Bartolomucci. As a Child and Adolescent Psychologist, Dr. Christi has had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, parents, school professionals and various local communities in the Atlanta area for over 22 years. She serves as the Consulting Psychologist to a prestigious Atlanta private school and values bringing mental health education and resources out of the office and into the schools and wider Atlanta community. She truly enjoys working with leaders and teams to support them in fulfilling their roles. Dr. Christi has a passion for creating mental health programming and community education. She is a skilled presenter that integrates psychological concepts in a professional manner while utilizing everyday, engaging language and skills.
Dr. Christi’s EmpowerED! team consists of well-trained mental health professionals who can help meet the immediate therapeutic needs of your students. Together, we have the ability to intervene and respond to crisis situations in a timely manner. We understand how overwhelming, and isolating, it can be when faced with mental health challenges of students, families, and school professionals. We want you to know that you are not alone and help is available.
The needs of our youth, along with teaching and parenting them, are becoming increasingly complex. We, as well-intended adults, are working diligently to help them to navigate the balance of supporting student development and mental health that allows for thriving performance. Our hope is to bring these years of clinical experience and wisdom to support you in strengthening the mental well-being of your school community!
