Morgan Cannon

Education Specialist

I am a certified school psychologist, who has worked in Georgia public schools for almost 10 years. I specialize in providing psycho-educational assessments and interventions for children and adolescents who may be struggling academically, behaviorally, or who present with social/emotional concerns as well. As a school psychologist, I am well versed in educational law and the rights that are afforded to all students and families. I am excited to provide that crucial “home to school” bridge for our clients.

I provide very comprehensive assessments in which my goal is to “paint a picture” for each student- highlighting both their strengths and their weaknesses, learning styles, and unique personalities. I uniquely tailor each assessment battery to the students’ specific needs and presenting concerns. Once these factors are identified, I can provide further interventions, strategies, and support that families and schools can use to ensure the overall success of our students. I strive to communicate evaluation results to families and other team members in a manner that is understandable, relatable, concise, and solution-oriented.

I work collaboratively with families, caregivers, teachers, school staff, and community mental health providers to determine the underlying factors that may be impacting a student’s achievement or overall functioning across both the home and school settings. I have worked with a wide range of individuals, including those with various learning differences, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), language and speech disorders, orthopedic impairments, hearing and vision difficulties, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), mood disorders, developmental delays, and impaired cognitive or adaptive functioning.

I received my M.Ed. and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Georgia State University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Sewanee: The University of the South.

In my free time, I enjoy attending Braves games, trying new restaurants with friends, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my wife and two dogs- Finn and Augie.
