Meet Felicia
Billing Coordinator
Hello! My name is Felicia and I am the Billing Coordinator at Atlanta Innovative Counseling.
I was drawn to working in a counseling center because I believe counseling is a truly special art. There is something powerful about witnessing the growth that can happen when people are given the space to feel seen, heard, and understood. Being part of an environment that supports that transformation is both inspiring and meaningful to me.
One of the things I enjoy most about supporting both clients and clinicians is helping them navigate challenges that can sometimes make the therapy process feel overwhelming. Billing obstacles and administrative concerns can add stress to an already vulnerable experience, and I take pride in helping people feel supported every step of the way. My goal is to ensure that clients and clinicians never feel alone when difficulties arise and that they feel confident they are part of a practice that genuinely cares about them from every angle of the therapeutic journey.
When people interact with me, I hope they feel supported, heard, and at ease. I strive to create an experience where individuals feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and knowing that someone is genuinely invested in helping them find solutions. Whether the interaction is brief or ongoing, I want people to walk away feeling a sense of peace and reassurance.
One small thing that brings me joy during the workday is knowing that I work alongside an amazing team of people who genuinely care about others. Being part of a practice that values compassion, support, and authentic connection makes the work feel purposeful and reminds me every day why I love what I do.
The most fulfilling part of my role is helping put people at ease. Knowing that I can alleviate stress, provide clarity, and offer support during moments of uncertainty is incredibly rewarding. I believe that even small acts of assistance can make a meaningful difference in someone's overall experience.
Some of my favorite resources include podcasts such as Therapy for Black Girls, Girl Just Heal, and The Brave Table, which offer meaningful conversations around mental health, healing, and personal growth. I also enjoy reading books that encourage self-reflection and healthy relationships, including All About Love by bell hooks and Set Boundaries, Find Peace by Nedra Glover Tawwab. These resources continue to influence the way I think about connection, wellness, and personal development.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time reading, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and being outdoors whenever possible. I love seeking out new experiences, whether that means exploring new places, trying something I've never done before, or simply finding opportunities to learn and grow through everyday life. These activities help me stay grounded, inspired, and connected to the world around me.
