Hi! I believe that trust and connection are at the heart of meaningful therapeutic work, so thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I grew up in a diverse city in Southern California, where I learned early on that while people may look or sound different, we share far more in common than we realize. My college years began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I played soccer for two seasons before taking a leap of faith and transferring across the country to North Carolina State University. There, I completed my soccer career and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Coaching minor. I continued at NC State to complete my Master of Education in College Counseling, became a National Certified Counselor in 2007, and later earned my Licensed Professional Counselor Associate credential in North Carolina in 2014. In 2023, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia.

For seven years after graduate school, I worked closely with college athletes at NC State and Appalachian State University, helping them strengthen life skills, navigate academics, and build confidence beyond their sport. In 2012, I paused my professional career to stay home with my children, born in 2010, 2012, and 2016. Those years shaped me deeply-stretching, humbling, and teaching me more about myself than I ever expected. I’m especially grateful for the guidance of Connected Families, which became a grounding resource during that season.

In 2019, I felt called back into counseling. I earned my Associate Professional Counselor (APC) license in Georgia in 2020 and completed my LPC in 2023. My journey toward licensure reaffirmed my desire to walk alongside people during life’s most challenging and transformative moments. My hope is always to help you move toward your best and most grounded self. I will listen to your story with care, offer encouragement, and provide tools that support the changes you want to make.

I work with individuals navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, body image concerns, co-dependence, parenting challenges, boundary-setting, relationship issues, stress management, Christian faith exploration, personal growth, athletics, marital concerns, and motherhood. I am trained as a PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator and in Positive Parenting approaches. I want to be known for my work in parenting, relationships, stress management, and helping clients gain insight into themselves. I especially enjoy supporting mothers, parents, college age, young professionals, individuals, couples, and families who are ready to make meaningful changes.

My therapeutic approach is primarily Person-Centered, blended with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), a splash of psychodynamic insight, and a sprinkle of CBT and DBT. This integrative style helps clients understand themselves more fully, build emotional flexibility, and move toward a life aligned with their values. I believe health is multi-dimensional-shaped by our relationships, family of origin, physical activity, nutrition, creativity, and spirituality—and therapy becomes a space to explore all of these layers with compassion and curiosity.

Clients often describe me as a wise friend or kind coach-someone steady, grounded, and unafraid to sit with you when things get hard. My hope is that you feel deeply supported, never judged, and never alone in your process. I listen to understand, not to fix, because I believe that when people feel truly understood, they naturally move toward discovery, clarity, and growth.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll likely find me outside watching my kids’ sports or taking my dog for a walk. I also love learning from voices that inspire thoughtful, compassionate living. Some of my favorite counseling resources include the podcast Where Should We Begin? by Esther Perel; books like Constructive Conflict by Keith Wilson, Drama Free by Nedra Glover Tawwab, and The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris; and authors such as Brené Brown, Lisa Damour, Henry Cloud, and Daniel Siegel.

It would be an honor to sit with you, hear your story, and help you uncover the strength that is already within you as you move toward a brighter, more grounded future.

Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.
