Licensed Professional Counselor | National Certified Counselor
Taking the step to find the right counselor can feel overwhelming, and I’m so glad you’ve made it this far. I would love to help you find the support, clarity, and healing you’re looking for. Counseling children, adolescents, young adults, and parents has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I genuinely enjoy helping people feel more at ease, supported, and confident.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University in 2005 and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2008. I am also a National Certified Counselor with 20 years of experience working with children, teens, young adults, and families across nonprofit community centers, independent schools, and private practice. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Trust and connection are the foundation of my work.
My approach is tailored to each individual. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based counseling, and mindfulness, while integrating play and art therapy to help clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. I collaborate closely with clients and families to create meaningful goals that support lasting emotional and behavioral change.
I specialize in working with children and families navigating anxiety, OCD, emotional regulation challenges, depressed mood, low self-esteem, perfectionism, social difficulties, parent–child relationship concerns, life transitions, executive functioning, and school-related stress. I also support parents through their child’s anxiety and OCD using the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) model developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center. As a trained SPACE provider, I help parents respond more supportively while reducing accommodations that unintentionally reinforce anxiety.

I offer individual therapy for children (ages 6+), teens, young adults, and parents; group therapy focused on social skills and emotional regulation; virtual parenting workshops on child anxiety; and SPACE therapy for parents. I also lead community presentations at schools and churches on a variety of mental health topics. I value working with children who are open to trying new things and parents who are active, engaged participants in the therapy process.
My therapy style is playful, energetic, and creative with kids and teens, and warm, relational, and supportive with parents. I provide clear guidance when needed while remaining flexible and empathetic. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed and given choices—whether that’s talking, playing, or using art to express yourself. My goal is for you to feel safe, understood, and gently supported in making meaningful change.
I create a space where all feelings are welcome without judgment and support change at each client’s pace. I also enjoy helping kids understand how their brain works so that coping skills feel practical and empowering. Most importantly, I strive to make therapy engaging—something kids can look forward to.
Outside the counseling office, I enjoy working out, crafting, reading psychological thrillers, watching my son play sports, Friday night family dinners, game nights with friends, and date nights with my husband. I’m inspired by resources like the Anxious Toddlers Parent Survival Podcast and often recommend books such as The Whole-Brain Child by Dan Siegel, Breaking Free of Child Anxiety and OCD by Eli Lebowitz, and My Brain Is Not Broken by Tamara Rosier. For children and teens, I also love the work of Dawn Huebner and Natasha Daniels.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you find a path forward that feels right for you and your family.
“This is a moment in time, not the full story of who you are.”
